ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Lobo men’s soccer is topping all charts with unparalleled amounts of success this season, both as a team and individually. The Lobos, ranked No. 1 in the country in multiple national polls, are the only remaining undefeated team in Division I soccer with a 15-0-2 record, 9-0-0 in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation conference play.

With a program-high 17-game unbeaten streak on the line, the team is just one win away from completing the first undefeated season in program history. New Mexico is riding an 11-game win streak and has hung nine shutouts, including one scoreless draw, on opponents this season.

Top Drawer Soccer has recognized two Lobos for their individual success this season, in addition to placing the team in the one-spot on their weekly Top 25 chart.

Senior Lance Rozeboom was named to this week’s Top 100 men’s players list, coming in at No. 37 on the chart. A midfielder out of Walker, Iowa, Rozeboom has become a key component in the Lobos' offensive attack. Rozeboom has started every game for New Mexico this season, logging two goals and two assists for six points on the year. Both of his goals have come on penalty kicks, which are a specialty of Rozeboom’s and have been delegated as his responsibility for the regular season.

One of two seniors on the team, Rozeboom has started every contest for New Mexico since his sophomore season (2009). Last year, his 1,861 minutes of field time ranked second on the team. He was named first team all-MPSF and third team all-West following last season, and has earned multiple all-tournament honors over the course of his career at New Mexico.

Junior goalkeeper Victor Rodriguez has played 1,487 minutes of the team’s 1,531 total minutes in the net for the Lobos. This past weekend, Rodriguez notched back-to-back shutouts against Sacramento State (2-0) and San Jose State (1-0). He made four saves against Sacramento on Friday night, including a phenomenal stop on Alex Lopez’s penalty kick in the 65th minute to preserve the shutout. He made three saves in Sunday’s matinee game against San Jose for a total of seven on the week.

Rodriguez is now riding a streak of three shutouts, tying his season high of consecutive blanks, which he first notched over the first three games of the season. He has nine shutouts on the year, including a scoreless draw at Cal Poly, a 0.54 GAA, and a .833 save %. He was also named to Top Drawer Soccer’s National Team of the Week following week 10.
