TEMPE, Ariz. -- The University of New Mexico softball team finishes the Kajikawa Classic with an 0-5 mark as the Lobos were defeated, 11-1, in five innings by 2012 national runner-up and No 2/2 Oklahoma on Saturday in Tempe, Ariz.

New Mexico will look for its first win of the season on Sunday as the team travels to Las Cruces, N.M., for two games as part of New Mexico State's Hotel Encanto Classic.

The Lobos struggled for hits on Saturday afternoon, managing just three, one apiece from freshman Mariah Rimmer and seniors Kaity Ingram and Kari Guitierrez. It's just the second hit for Gutierrez in her collegiate career and at-bats number six and seven for her as she was the Lobos' designated player for three innings.

New Mexico's lone run was scored by Rimmer in the top of the fourth inning with the score at 7-0 and two outs accounted for.

Rimmer singled to center field and was driven in by Ingram, who followed with a single through the right side.

Oklahoma recorded eight hits, including homers by Shelby Pendley and Brittany Williams. The Sooners also drew six walks. OU scored four runs in the first inning, two in the second, one in the third and four in the fourth.

Sophomore Carrie Sheehan got the start in the circle and takes the loss for UNM. She faced 15 batters, allowing seven hits and walking one in two innings pitched. Lisa Rodrigues relieved Sheehan and threw 1.2 innings. She faced 13 batters, allowing one hit, walking five and striking out two. Senior Kaela DeBroeck came in for the final out of the bottom of the fourth inning.

Winning pitcher was Oklahoma freshman Taylor Dewbery.
