• Lobos win - or share - their 1st MWC title and 1st conference championship since 1994...UNM's last conference title was also clinched on the road, at BYU...the Lobos finished 14-4 in the WAC that season

• New Mexico has won a season-high 5 straight and 8 of the past 9...the Lobos are 6-6 on the road, including 3-1 in the past 4

Steve Alford wins his 1st regular season conference championship at the Div. I level...he did win consecutive titles with Manchester (Ind.) College in 1994 and 1995...that was in NCAA Div. III

• UNM has beaten Wyoming 4 straight times for the first time since a 5-game run from 1992-94...the Lobos post consecutive wins at Wyoming since 3 in a row from 1993-95

• Alford has 45 wins in his first two seasons as New Mexico head coach, the most in school history

• Even more impressive is how Alford's two Lobo teams have played on the road: 14-12 the past 2 years, which is a record for road wins in consecutive seasons...also 9-7 in MWC the past 2 seasons, also a record for consecutive seasons

• In the 7 seasons before Steve Alford arrived at UNM, New Mexico had a 14-60 overall road record, 9-42 in the MWC

• New Mexico is now 8-4 in its last 12 MWC road games

• UNM has won 23 conference games the past two years, the most in consecutive seasons since 25 in 1996 (14) and '97 (11)

Senior Tony Danridge
• a career-high 29 points for the 2nd straight game, passing former teammate Mark Walters for 17th place all-time at UNM with 1,224 points
• over 20 points in 7 games this season and 4th time in last 8 games with 20+ points...averaging 21.4 ppg the past 8 games
• has scored in double figures in 27 of his 31 games, including 9 straight...under 10 points just once in his last 24 games (at Utah)

Senior Daniel Faris
• 7 points, 6 rebounds and a career-high 4 steals
• fouled out of his 15th career game, the most in school history
• had 1 blocks, moving past Charles Smith for 6th place all-time at UNM with 96

Junior Roman Martinez
• 15 points on 5 of 8 from 3-point before fouling out at the 4:01 mark; 5 3s tied a career high
• 19th game in double figures this year and 4th in his last 5 games...averaging 13.4 ppg in his last 5 games
• Lobos are 15-1 when he plays more than 30 minutes this season; 6-9 when he plays 30 or less
