UPDATE - Senior javelin standouts Katie Coronado and Anthony Fairbanks will lead an eight-person travel party for the University of New Mexico track and field team in its outdoor season opener at Arizona State's Baldy Castillo Classic on Saturday. Coronado was the 2008 NCAA silver medalist in the event while Fairbanks set the Mountain West Conference javelin record at the '08 Baldy Castillo meet.

Complete meet information and results will be available at Arizona State's official athletic department website.

Coronado and Fairbanks will be joined by high jumpers Josh Cosio and Brandon Simpson (both of whom will also triple jump), pole vaulters Kyle Walker and Whitney Johnson, and discus thrower Matthew Henry-Marshall.

New Mexico will send a full travel squad down to El Paso, Texas next week for the UTEP Springtime Invitational (March 28). Senior Jarrin Solomon, who earned All-America honors with a fifth place finish in the 400 meters last weekend at the NCAA Indoor Championships, is expected to run a leg on the UNM 4x400m relay team at that meet.
