2013-14 (Redshirt Freshman Season)

After posting a 14-5 singles record in the fall tournament season and 16-9 singles record in the regular season, Jauregui completed the 2013-14 season with an overall singles record of 30-14. His thirty victories were the most singles victories on the team. Jauregui competed primarily at the No. 3 singles position. 

Jauregui also had a winning doubles record for the 2013-14 season posting an overall doubles record of 21-11. He competed mainly with teammate Hayden Sabatka. Jauregui and Sabatka finished the season ranked 10th in the ITA Mountain Region doubles rankings.

Jauregui completed the 2014 Mountain West Championships with one singles win, one loss, and one unfinished match. Jauregui and Sabatka finished the tournament with two unfinished doubles matches and a loss to top-seeded Fresno State.

Jauregui was named to the 2014 Academic All-Conference team for his academic success during the season.

Prior to UNM

Jauregui is a 2012 graduate from Instituto Tecnologico in Cordoba, Veracruz Mexico. During his high school career, he received an ATP point in singles and was ranked as high as 1498 in the world.


He is the son of Rodolfo Jauregui and Maria Teresa Sainz. His favorite food is pizza and he enjoys playing tennis and listening to music. He has two younger siblings, Eduardo and Mariana. He plans on majoring in film and digital media.
