Sofia Hoglund has cracked the starting lineup in all four of her seasons as a Lobo, but she is looking to improve her scoring average during her senior year and play the game with more consistency.  She is capable of some outstanding golf -- won the 2011 Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational -- but needs to avoid the bad holes and the bad rounds. She was one of five Lobos named to the  Women's Golf Coaches Association(WGCAA) Academic All-American Team in 2013.
The senior's name is pronounced so-FEE-uh HOE-glund. Her hometown of Kokkola is 300 miles north of Helsinki. She is a three-time Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athlete Award honoree and is majoring in Chemistry.  She has been a member of the European Junior Girls national team for Finland.
