Lettered for two seasons at Alta under Lee Mitchell and then two seasons at Lone Peak under Heather Dahl ... was a two-time All-State pick, in 2012 on the second team, and in 2011 as an honorable mention selection ... also earned all-region honors in 2011 and 2012 ... as a freshman, she helped Alta to a state title and a 17-2-1 record, allowing just one goal combined in her games between varsity and JV ... had another solid season as a sophomore at Alta helping to a 14-2-1 record and a state quarterfinal appearance ... transferred to Lone Peak, and led LPHS to the state semifinals, recording four shutouts in leading LPHS to a 15-3-1 season ... recorded 48 saves and a 0.75 goals against with a .800 save percentage as a senior with six shutouts in another state quarterfinal appearance ... also a standout in track and field, winning a region championship in the long jump and qualifying for state in the long jump, 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, 100m, and the 4x100 relay ...was an All-Region Academic Team member and was named to the honor roll all seven semesters so far with a 3.87 cumulative GPA ... her Sparta United Premier '95 club team is ranked No. 1 in Utah, and won the 2012 Utah State Cup title and the 2012 Surf Cup title ... at the Surf Cup, Vaughan chalks up stopping four of six PKs in a semifinal shootout and then a shutout win in the title as one of her best sports moments ... a member of the national honor society, and she volunteers with the Utah Developmental Center for the Disabled and the Junior Diabetes Association.
