Lobo Pride Passes Now Available

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Benjamin Bauch and John Catlin, departing seniors from the 2012-13 University of New Mexico men's golf team, have earned Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America honors, the Golf Coaches Association of America has announced.

Bauch also was an Academic All-Mountain West  selection and a Mountain West Scholar Athlete. The native of Trabuco Canyon, Calif., played in 12 tournaments for the Lobos last season, averaging 73.37 strokes per round. His best finish was a tie for 10th at the Don Puckette National Invitational Tournament in March.

Catlin was named to the Clevelan Golf/Srixon team last season as well. The Carmichael, Calif., native also earned Academic All-MW honors and was an MW Scholar-Athlete last season. He played in 15 tournaments, averaging 72.24 strokes per round and had five top-10 finishes, including a third-place result at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate in September.

To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team’s competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 77.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative
grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

Senior John Catlin had five top-10 finishes in 2012-13.
