Was originally signed in for the 2012-13 season, signing on Nov. 9, 2011, but he tore his ACL and did not enroll in the fall of 2012, thereby not starting his eligibility clock • Lettered for La Lumiere High School in La Porte, Indiana for two seasons • as a senior he averaged close to a double-double with 13 points and 8.9 rebounds per game as La Lumiere went 27-3 • also averaged 3.5 blocks per game • as a junior, he averaged 11 points, 8.9 rebounds and 8.9 rebounds with 3.4 blocks • helped La Lumiere to a 26-8 record • won the “Excellence in Performance Award”, which is given to the hardest worker on the La Lumiere squad • spent his sophomore season at Mountain State Academy in West Virginia, averaging eight points and seven rebounds as his squad went 30-3 • averaged 10 points and nine rebounds as a freshman at Central Part Christian School in Alabama • also played AAU ball for Indiana Elite • was born in Western Bahr el Ghazal, South Sudan, Juba.
