Lobo Golfer Green Tied for 2nd at All-America

In El Paso, Texas, University of New Mexico junior golfer Gavin Green is tied for second after Monday’s first two rounds of the Western Refining Sun Bowl College All-America golf tournament.

Green is at 6-under 136 after shooting 69-67 during the first two rounds at the par-71 El Paso Country Club course. He trails leader Cory Whitsett of Alabama (66-68=134, 8-under) by two strokes.

Texas A&M’s Tyler Dunlap (70-66=136) and UCLA’s Jonathan Garrick (69-67=136) are tied with Green for second. Georgia Tech’s Anders Albertson is fifth at 5-under 137 (67-70) in the event that features 21 All-America players from the 2012-13 season.
