Streaks and trends

*New Mexico lost 76-73 to UNLV in The Pit.

*The loss ends UNM’s 15-game home conference winning streak.

*UNM is 5-8 over the last two-plus seasons when the Lobos have trailed by 10 at any point in the game.

In-Game Notes

*UNLV opened the game shooting 9-for-12.  They opened a 16-point lead at 28-12 with 10:14 to go in the first half.

*The 46 points allowed was the most allowed by the Lobos in the opening half this season, ahead of the 39 allowed by the team against New Mexico State.

*New Mexico had a chance to take a lead with 35 seconds left but Cameron Bairstow missed a short jumper, and had three shots to tie, but three-point attempts by Hugh Greenwood, Deshawn Delaney and Cullen Neal all rimmed out.

Senior F Cameron Bairstow

*Scored 27 points for his 15th double-figure scoring game this season.

*Had his 10th 20-point game of the season.  He never scored more than 17 in any game his first three seasons with UNM.  He was two off his career-high with 27.

 Senior G Kendall Williams

*Scored 15 points to give him double-figures in all 16 games this season. 

*Moved ahead of Marlow White for 10th on the career three-pointers made list with 172.

*Moved ahead of Darrell McGee into 9th place on the career minutes list with 3,830.

*Added nine assists without a turnover.

 Junior G Deshawn Delaney

*Had his third career double-figure game with 10 points.             

Junior C Alex Kirk

*His blocked shot in the first half gave him 127 for his career, moving him into 5th on the UNM career list all by himself.

*Recorded his 10th double-double of the season and the 20th of his career, tying for 11th all-time in UNM history.

*His 11 rebounds moved him into 19th place on the UNM career list.  He started the evening in 23rd.
