HIGH SCHOOL: A dual-threat and three-star Rivals recruit who was the North Bay League Player of the Year in 2013 for Casa Grande … passed for 6,277 yards during his high school career with 62 touchdowns and 19 interceptions … also finished with 2,189 career rushing yards and 30 touchdowns on 318 carries ... as a senior led the Gauchos to a 13-1 and the North Bay League championship record while completing 67.4 percent of his passes (145-of-215) for 2,203 yards and 23 touchdowns with just two interceptions … he also carried the ball 107 times for 1,152 yards and 13 TDs … named to the All-NorCal Team by MaxPreps … the Gauchos made it all the way to the Section II Division Championship game … a first-team All-North Bay selection in 2012 who threw for 1,840 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior … added 581 rushing yards and nine TDs … Casa Grande went 7-4 in 2012 and made the North Coast Section Division 2 playoffs … burst onto the scene as a sophomore, earning second-team All-Sonoma County honors with 2,234 yards on 156-of-237 passing … had 22 touchdowns and just eight interceptions … added 456 rushing yards and nine touchdowns … played linebacker and safety as well.
