Four Lobo Football Games Added to ROOT SPORTS Schedule

DENVER, Colo. - ROOT SPORTS™ announced today that the network will be the exclusive television home of four University of New Mexico football games, part of an eight game Mountain West Conference football package on the network this year. This will mark ROOT SPORTS’ second season as the official regional television partner of the Mountain West, and exemplifies the network’s commitment to providing superior college sports coverage.
The additional four games now puts nine of New Mexico's 12 games on television, with three more games to be announced soon.  

New Mexico’s first game on the network is on October 18 as the Lobos travel to Colorado Springs to take on the Air Force Academy. ROOT SPORTS will also cover the team on November 1 as they travel to Las Vegas to play UNLV along with the matchup against Colorado State in Fort Collins on November 22. The final Lobos game on the network is on November 29 when they play host to Wyoming.
Game times have also been established, with the Air Force game at 1:30 p.m. and the UNLV game at 3:30 p.m. Mountain Time.  The final two games have not have starting times finalized, but the game at Colorado State will be at either 11:30 a.m. or at noon, and the season finale at home against Wyoming will be at either 1 p.m. or 1:30 p.m.

Once again ROOT SPORTS will bring its first-class production standard to each telecast and give viewers not just game action but the stories behind every contest. All matchups will be produced in high definition and, in the Rocky Mountain and Northwest territories, will be available exclusively onROOT SPORTS.

New Mexico will be entering its third season under head coach Bob Davie, and the squad is looking to improve on its 3-9 season of a year ago.  The team has won seven games in the last two years after winning just three in the previous three seasons.
In 2014 ROOT SPORTS will televise over 170 live, exclusive collegiate events annually featuring matchups from conferences including the Mountain West, Big 12, Big Sky, ACC, Big East, West Coast Conference, and Conference USA.
