ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - On Monday GoLobos.com looked at the 2013 UNM Baseball draft class and predicted several promotions were soon in order, particularly for first-round pick DJ Peterson.

Less than 12 hours later that was indeed the case as Peterson earned a promotion to Double-A Jackson in the Seattle Mariners minor league system.

That wasn't the only good news for Peterson in the last 24 hours, though, as on Tuesday he was named to the U.S. roster for the Futures Game, which will be played on Sunday, July 13 at Target Field as part of All-Star Weekend in Minneapolis. He is the first Lobo ever selected to play in the game.

Major League Baseball, in conjunction with the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau, MLB.com, Baseball America and the 30 Major League Clubs, selected the 25-man rosters for each club. Each Major League organization is represented, and players from all full-season Minor Leagues were eligible to participate.
