*New Mexico took home third place in the Charleston Classic with a 79-58 win over Davidson.
*The Lobos improved to 3-0 all-time against Davidson, including wins in each of the last two seasons.
*Craig Neal is now 4-1 as a head coach with New Mexico, and the Lobos have now won their last eight games following a loss dating back to the 2011-2012 season.
*New Mexico has now hit a three-point shot in 733 consecutive games. The last without a make was when UNM went 0-for-8 on January 3, 1991 against Colorado State.
*New Mexico outrebounded Davidson by 20, the second-highest margin this season, and it ends a run of two straight games where UNM was outrebounded.
*New Mexico went 11-for-11 from the line in the first half before Deshawn Delaney missed UNM’s first two attempts of the second half. The Lobos ended up shooting a season best 16-of-19 (.842)
*The Lobos recorded 26 blocks in the Charleston Classic, and for the season they now have 40, an average of 8.0 per game.
*The 10 turnovers by Davidson marked the second-fewest of the season against UNM. Alabama A&M committed just eight in the opener.
*Alex Kirk has now had multiple blocks in a game 15 times in the last 19 games, and in all five games this season. He is one of seven players with 100 career blocks in school history, and his first of the game moved him alone in sixth place ahead of A.J. Hardeman.
*Kirk had his 15th career double-double, and sixth in a row dating back to last season with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
*Deshawn Delaney became the fourth Lobo to record a dunk this season with his first half jam. Kendall Williams became the fifth with his in the second half. Kendall also scored 12 points and has now scored in double-figures in all five games.
*Williams also remained in 16th place in career scoring at UNM…he now has 1,360 points and is 27 away from Kenny Page for 15th on the list. Williams also now has 151 career three-pointers made, and 483 career assists.
*Cullen Neal scored a career-high 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting, including hitting a career-high three three-pointers.
