Streaks and trends

*New Mexico defeated Air Force 80-52 to improve to 24-5 overall and 15-2 in the Mountain West. 

*New Mexico's 15 conference wins is a Mountain West era high for the team.

*UNM is now 8-1 at home in conference play and 13-2 overall at home.  It's the 17th time in the last 18 years UNM has won at least 13 home games.

*New Mexico is now 20-1 when leading at the half, and 12-1 in conference games.

*UNM is now 21-2 when shooting above 40% this season, 41-3 in the last 44, and 65-4 in the last three seasons.

*UNM has won 20 games for the 27th time, all occurring since the 1963-64 season.  UNM now has seven straight 22-win seasons, the longest streak in school history.

*UNM has held five straight opponents under 60 points, and 12 straight under its scoring average.

In-Game Notes

*The Lobos led at the break 34-20.  It was the 14th time in 17 conference games that UNM has allowed 31 points or fewer in the first half.

*The 20 points ties for the fewest allowed in the opening half this season, as UNM led Cincinnati 27-20 at the break.

*Kendall Williams, Cameron Bairstow and Chris Perez all won their 103rd game, tying for third most in school history.  Perez is now ahead of Marcos White for the most wins by a walk-on in school history.

*UNM improved to 11-0 when someone other than Kendall Williams has at least five assists.

Head Coach Craig Neal        

*Tied the New Mexico record for wins by a first-year head coach with his 24th win.  He tied former boss Steve Alford, who went 24-9 in his first season at UNM.

*He is four wins away from moving into the top 10 in NCAA history for most wins ever by a first year head coach in Division I history.

Senior G Chris Perez

*Made his first career start, playing in just his 15th game, on senior night.  He assisted on the opening basket and closed the night with by scoring the final basket of the game for his first points of the year.

Junior C Alex Kirk                  

*Had four blocks the 12th time this season he has had at least four in a game, and the fifth time in the last six games.

*Moved into ninth ahead of Ira Harge on the career rebounds list with 640.

*Tied Kenny Thomas for sixth on the single-season blocked shots list with 79.

Senior F Cameron Bairstow

*Scored 21 points, his 28th double-figure scoring game of the season

*His 21 points gives him 18 20-point games on the year.  For the entirely of the 2012-13 season, the Lobos as a team had just 16 20-point games.

*Leaped from 20th to 16th on the single season UNM scoring list with 589 points, and his 348 MW points is the third-most in MW history for conference games in a season.

 Senior G Kendall Williams

*Tied Luc Longley for games played with 132, tying for ninth.

*Scored 13 points, his 28th double-figure scoring game of the season.

*Moved into seventh ahead of Hunter Greene on the career scoring list with 1,744 points

 Sophomore F Merv Lindsay

*Tied a career high with four rebounds, one block and one steal

Freshman G Cullen Neal

*Scored eight points, making three field goals, with four assists.  UNM improved to 17-0 when he records at least two field goals in a game.​
