COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Lobos in 2013 had five players earn Mountain West Scholar-Athlete Awards; Justus Adams, Dakota Cox, Ben Skaer, Reece White, and Randy Williams. Those five tied with Utah State and Hawai’i for the second-most in the Mountain West in 2013 (Boise State led with nine).

The Mountain West Scholar-Athlete Award is one of the highest academic honors bestowed by the conference. To be named, student-athletes have to have completed two full semesters at their school while maintaining a 3.5 GPA and playing in at least one game.

The Lobos also fared well with 16 Mountain West Academic All-Conference selections; Justus Adams, Andrew Aho, Dallas Bollema, Brett Bowers, Kasey Carrier, Dakota Cox, Jacori Greer, David Guthrie, Cranston Jones, Steve Romero, Dillon Romine, Ben Skaer, William Udeh, Donnie White, Reece White and Randy Williams. The 16 was the sixth-most in the Mountain West, and it was the second-most in school history for football, behind the 18 that were honored in 2008.
