*This was the third meeting between New Mexico and Grand Canyon; UNM has won all three contests.

In-Game Notes

*UNM never trailed in the contest, and it’s the third time this season UNM has led from start to finish.

*UNM finished non-conference play 9-3, a .750 winning percentage.  It’s the sixth time in the last seven years that UNM finished with a .750 or better winning percentage.

*Tonight’s attendance of 15,322 put the season attendance over 15,000 at 15,016.

*UNM’s 20 assists were the second-most on the season, and the most since getting 19 in the double-overtime win over UAB

Head Coach Craig Neal

*Craig Neal is now 9-3 as a head coach with New Mexico, and he is 5-1 in home games.  

 Senior F Cameron Bairstow

*Scored 14 points and had eight rebounds, ending his streak of 20-point games at five.

 Senior G Kendall Williams

*Scored 14 points to give him double-figures in all 12 games this season. 

*Had eight assists, the 48th time in his career that he had at least five or more assists.

*Had three steals, giving him 153 for his career and tying him with Mark Walters for ninth on the UNM list.

*Went 7-for-8 from the line, moving him past Kelvin Scarborough on the free throws made list with 612. Kendall is now 5th.

RS Junior C Alex Kirk

*Had his eighth double-double of the season and 18th of his career with 14 points and 11 rebounds.  Last year he had nine double-doubles.

 Freshman C Obij Aget

*Scored a career-high four points, including the first field goal of his career.
