ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico women’s basketball team is preparing for two home games, versus Texas Tech and Houston Baptist, in a three-day span. The pair of games gives fans a chance to catch some Lobo women’s basketball in The Pit. However, there are also special opportunities available for fans to attend Sunday’s game versus Houston Baptist at 1 p.m. in The Pit.
The match-ups will begin with the Texas Tech Lady Red Raiders coming into The Pit at 7 p.m. on Thursday night. The two programs will renew their rivalry with the 16th game in the all-time series.
The action will pick up again on Sunday when the Houston Baptist Huskies arrive in the city of Albuquerque. There’s a pair of special promotions for Sunday’s game at 1 p.m.
The Coaches Clinic, originally scheduled for Saturday morning, has been postponed to a later date. Yet there are still two other great promotions for Sunday's game.
The game will be the Alumni Game for the Lobo Women’s Basketball program. Alumni will receive four free tickets and access to suites. Alumni in attendance will also be recognized at halftime and will be invited to food afterwards. If you have any questions or comments, email Amy Beggin at firstname.lastname@example.org
Sunday’s game is also part of Lobo Athletics’ “Howl For Hunger” promotion. Fans who donate two canned food items at The Pit will receive $5 off tickets located in sections H-Q and rows 11-33.
With two great additional reasons to attend Sunday’s Lobo women’s basketball game, we hope you’ll take advantage of any of these opportunities. Come cheer on Coach Sanchez and company in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere inside The Pit!
