ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The New Mexico baseball team will host Creighton this weekend in a four-game series at Isotopes Park. The Lobos are 0-4 on the year and looking for their first win. UNM opens the Creighton (3-1) series Friday at 3 p.m., before a doubleheader Saturday starting at noon and the series finale is set for Sunday 12 p.m. GameTracker will be available on GoLobos.com.
Saturday's doubleheader will be broadcast on ESPN Radio 101.7 The Team.
New Mexico leads the all-time series with Creighton, 10-3. The Lobos haven't played the Bluejays since March of 1996. The series dates back to the 1971 season.
Kyle Stiner is leading the Lobos at the plate with a .417 batting average. Stiner, who missed the NMSU game with an injury, has a team-high five hits. UNM is hitting .237 as a team. Six Lobos are hitting .300 or better this year.
UNM has used 11 different pitchers this year and has a team ERA of 9.00.
Creighton has won three of its first four games. The Bluejays are coached by Ed Servais who is in his eighth season. Creighton is hitting .246 as a team.
