ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico women's basketball team begins a two game road trip on Thursday night as they travel to play the UNLV Lady Rebels in a pivotal MWC game. The, Lobos are 20-7 on the season and 10-4 in the MWC, while the Lady Rebels are 12-14 on the year and 6-8 in conference. Tip-off Thursday from Cox Arena is 8:00 PM (MST) and can be seen live on CSTV or heard on 610 AM The Sports Animal.

TONIGHT'S GAME: Tonight's game features the Lobos of the University of New Mexico as they travel to Las Vegas, Nevada, to play the Lady Rebels of UNLV in a MWC game.

SCOUTING THE LOBOS: New Mexico is 20-7 this season and 10-4 in the MWC with victories over Florida Atlantic (74-44), No. 25 Texas (63-60), Georgia Southern (64-43), Siena (78-39), New Mexico State (81-47 and 65-45), at Arizona (76-63), Sam Houston State (77-41), UCLA (72-63), Northern Arizona (62-51), Colorado State twice (73-42, 77-66), Air Force twice (60-46, 57-47), UNLV (77-56), San Diego State (76-46), Wyoming (50-43), Utah (73-65), BYU (80-75 OT) and TCU (75-54) and losses to No. 12/13 Arizona State (67-49), Nebraska (66-59), No. 7/8 Oklahoma (80-58), Wyoming (54-51), Utah (49-48), BYU (63-59) and TCU (67-43). UNM is led in scoring by senior Julie Briody at 15.3 ppg and rebounding by junior Dionne Marsh at 6.4 rpg. Leading the Lobos in assists is senior Katie Montgomery at 3.5 apg.

SCOUTING THE LADY REBELS: UNLV is 12-14 on the year and 6-8 in the conference with wins over Cal State Bakersfield (60-52), Elon (70-40), Long Beach State (61-44), UC-Irvine (74-50), DePaul (89-71), Nevada (77-63), San Diego State (71-54), Wyoming (51-46), Air Force twice (63-55, 72-58), Colorado State (57-46) and BYU (76-71 OT) and losses to Pepperdine (57-42), Michigan (68-58), Wisconsin (67-51), Southern Utah (56-52), Boise State (76-63), UT-San Antonio (70-62), TCU twice (88-63, 75-62), Utah twice (49-37, 70-55), BYU (64-59), New Mexico (77-56), San Diego State (67-54) and Wyoming (85-59). Leading the Lady Rebels in scoring is Sequoia Holmes at 14.0 ppg and Faye Muller leads them in rebounding at 10.0 rpg. Leading them in assists is Brittany Halberg at 3.0 apg.

THE COACHES: UNM is led by head coach Don Flanagan who enters his 12th season at New Mexico. Flanagan is 259-111 at UNM. The head coach of UNLV is Regina Miller who is in her ninth season as a Lady Rebel and 15th overall. Miller has a record of 165-102 at UNLV and 225-202 overall.

THE SERIES: This will be the second of two meetings between New Mexico and UNLV, with the Lobos winning the first meeting 77-56 in The Pit. This will be the 33rd meeting overall with UNLV holding a 20-12 advantage and is 15-2 in Las Vegas.
