ALBUQUERUQE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico women's basketball team continues its trip through Utah on Saturday, as they travel to Provo to play the Cougars of BYU. The Lobos are 16-7 on the year and 6-4 in the MWC, while BYU is 17-5 on the season and 8-1 in the conference. Tip-off Saturday is set for 2:00 PM from the Marriott Center and the game can be heard live on 610 AM The Sports Animal.

TONIGHT'S GAME: Tonight's game features the Lobos of the University of New Mexico traveling to Provo, Utah, to play the Cougars of Brigham Young University in a Mountain West Conference game.

SCOUTING THE LOBOS: New Mexico is 16-7 this season and 6-4 in the MWC with victories over Florida Atlantic (74-44), No. 25 Texas (63-60), Georgia Southern (64-43), Siena (78-39), New Mexico State (81-47 and 65-45), at Arizona (76-63), Sam Houston State (77-41), UCLA (72-63), Northern Arizona (62-51), Colorado State (73-42), Air Force (60-46), UNLV (77-56), San Diego State (76-46), Wyoming (50-43) and Utah (73-65) and losses to No. 12/13 Arizona State (67-49), Nebraska (66-59), No. 7/8 Oklahoma (80-58), Wyoming (54-51), Utah (49-48), BYU (63-59) and TCU (67-43). UNM is led in scoring by senior Julie Briody at 15.6 ppg and rebounding by junior Dionne Marsh at 6.4 rpg. Leading the Lobos in assists is senior Katie Montgomery at 3.3 apg.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS: BYU is 17-5 on the season and 8-1 in conference with wins over Idaho State (73-50), Stanford (55-52), Santa Clara (77-63), Harvard (66-51), New Mexico State (60-43), Cal State Northridge (55-48), Weber State (79-42), Utah Valley State (71-57), UC Riverside (66-57), Air Force twice (59-46, 70-40), New Mexico (63-59), Wyoming (55-52), Colorado State (69-56), UNLV (64-59), San Diego State (54-49) and TCU (69-65) and losses to Baylor (84-58), Fresno State (61-51), Hartford (60-43), Oregon (70-61) and Utah (64-54). BYU is led in scoring and rebounding by Dani Wright at 13.0 ppg and 7.0 rpg. Leading them in assists is Melinda Johnsen at 4.4 apg.

THE COACHES: UNM is led by head coach Don Flanagan who enters his 12th season at New Mexico. Flanagan is 255-111 at UNM. The head coach of BYU is Jeff Judkins who is in his sixth season as a Cougar and has a record of 120-57.

THE SERIES: This will be the second of two meetings between New Mexico and BYU, with the Cougars winning the first meeting 63-59 in Albuquerque. This will be the 57th meeting overall with BYU holding a 35-21 edge and are 22-4 in Provo.
