Junior Safety Josh Bazinet (Albuquerque, N.M.)
Question: Just another game or is it more than that this week?
Josh Bazinet: I think to everyone it's more than a game because we're on a losing streak, mostly, and it's New Mexico State. So it is a big rivalry for everybody. We need this win just to get our team back together.
Q: Is there a sense of not really knowing how good you are? Is there frustration about how it's going so far? What's the sense of the team?
JB: We came in here this season having high hopes. We had a lot of returning starters on offense and defense. We usually have a slow start, but we thought we were not going to start off slow, we were going to have a good year. We just have to look at it now like, 'okay, we started off slow, but now we have to pick it up again'. We're looking for this game to get us started again.
Q: What concerns you about the Aggies?
JB: They have a great offense and they're kind of like us. They just like to run the ball. They have a great quarterback and they just have a lot of schemes and they know what to do down there.
Q: What do you anticipate it being like here on Saturday?
JB: I anticipate it to be a great game for everybody. Just because so many fans come out to this game and because it's a state rivalry and everything. I feel it's going to be a good game between the two us.
