TONIGHT'S GAME

Tonight's game features the Lobos of the University of New Mexico against the Women of Troy of the University of Southern California. This is the regular season opener for both teams. USC holds a 1-0 advantage over the Lobos.

SCOUTING THE LOBOS

UNM finished the exhibition season with a 2-0 record. The Lobos downed the West Coast All-Stars 67-56 and the NWBL Houston Flight 78-76 in overtime. Leading the Lobos during exhibition play was led by junior guard Mandi Moore with 20.0 ppg, 4.5 apg and 5.5 rpg. The Lobos have been a tale of two teams shooting 44 percent from the field in the first half of the two games, but shoot only 27 percent from the field in the second half.

SCOUTING THE WOMEN OF TROY

USC is coming off a 14-17 season, but return four starters from last season including senior center Ebony Hoffman. Hoffman is a preseason candidate for the John Wooden award, Wade trophy and 2004 All-American team. The Women of Troy were 2-0 in the exhibition season with wins over Love & Basketball 95-89 and Everyone's Internet 68-60.
