SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - The University of New Mexico caused six San Diego State turnovers and blocked a punt for a touchdown as they rolled to a 30-7 victory at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, California. UNM struggled offensively in the first half, but used a Hank Baskett blocked punt and a Brandon Ratcliff interception in San Diego State territory to take a 17-7 halftime lead. The Lobo defense took over from there as they held the Aztecs scoreless in the second half. Gabriel Fulbright grabbed a career-high three interceptions to lead the Lobo defense. With the victory UNM moves to 4-3 on the season and even their conference record at 1-1, while San Diego State falls to 3-5 and 0-3 in the Mountain West. The Lobos return to action next Saturday, Octobr 25, at Utah.
