Four Swimmers, Two Divers Named To All-MWC Teams

Colorado Springs, Colo.- Becca Barras, Tracey Berghian and Robyn Miller headline the list of six UNM swim and dive team members who were honored on the Mountain West Conference's Swimming and Diving All-Conference teams. The trio were named to the first team as a result of their top-three finishes at the MWC Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla. Feb. 18-21. Also given All-Conference recognition were Aimee Dunavant, Corinne Ellis and Kelsey Leckovic, who received spots on the second team after finishing in the top four through eight positions in an event.

Barras and Berghian came away from the MWC Championships with top honors and had the best Lobo showing in Oklahoma City. Both earned All-MWC first team honors for their first-place finishes in springboard diving, Barras in the 1-meter and Berghian in the 3-meter. The two also had placings on the platform. Barras finished in first place while Berghian followed with the silver.

Robyn Miller not only garnered first-team All-MWC for her third-place finish in the 400 IM and second-place finish in the 200 fly, but also received All-MWC second team distinction for placing seventh in the 500 free.

Aimee Dunavant placed fifth in the 100 fly and eighth in the 200 fly, earning her a place on the All-MWC second team. Corinne Ellis was the only Lobo freshman to make the second team with her eighth-place finish in the 400 IM. Rounding out the All-MWC second team was Kelsey Leckovic. She placed sixth in the 100 free.
