ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- University of New Mexico head coach Don Flanagan announced the signing of Caroline Durbin to a National Letter of Intent today. Durbin, a 6-foot guard out of Austin, Texas, will join the UNM women's basketball program in the fall of 2009.

"Caroline is a quality player with a great up side," said Flanagan. "She came to our camp and we've been very impressed with her. She was named the Most Valuable Player of her conference and has great athleticism. She is a terrific player and a great addition to our program."

Last year as a junior at West Lake High School, Durbin averaged 17.9 points and 5.4 rebounds. She was a third team All-Central Texas honoree by the Austin America-Stateman last year. Durbin shot 47.6 percent from the field and led her team to a second place finish in conference.
