UNM at (14/20) UNLV *** Ls Vegas, Nev.

* New Mexico (15-4, 1-2 MW) drops its second straight game, falling 80-63 at (14/20) UNLV (18-3, 2-1 MW)

* The Lobos' next game is Wednesday at home against Colorado State...tipoff is 8 p.m. Mountain on the CBS Sports Network

* The 17-point loss is the Lobos' largest in a Mountain West Conference game since Feb. 2, 2008, when UNLV won 79-60 in Las Vegas

* UNM loses its first road game (4-1) of the season...including neutral sites, the Lobos are now 7-2 away from The Pit this year

* The Lobos allowed their most points (80) and highest opponent FG% (51.7%) of the season

* UNLV's FG shooting of 51.7% is the highest by a Lobo opponent since Alabama made 53.1% (26-49) in the 2nd round of the 2011 postseason NIT in Tuscaloosa

* The Lobos were guilty of 21 turnovers, tying for the 2nd-highest total of the season...UNM had 24 in a win at Southern Cal on Dec. 10

* UNLV had a 26-0 scoring edge in fast break points and 32-14 in points off of turnovers

* UNLV had a 28-9 advantage in bench scoring...the 9 bench points is a season low for UNM

* UNM made 7 of its first 11 FGs, then closed the half by missing 17 of its last 22 shots over the final 11:48...the Lobos shot 38.6% (22-57) for the game, but were just 15-of-46 (32.6%) the final 31:48

* The Lobos had 21 offensive rebounds for the 2nd straight game

* UNM trailed at halftime (39-35) for only the 2nd time this season...on Nov. 24, the Lobos trailed Santa Clara 35-26 at the 76 Classic in Anaheim

* UNM has made a 3-point FG in 677 consecutive games...the last game without a 3 was Jan. 3, 1991 at Colorado State (0-for-8)
