Lobo Softball Inks Ingram in Early Signing Period

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Lobo head softball coach Ty Singleton announced the signing of Kaity Ingram to a National Letter of Intent last week. Ingram is a transfer student from Pima Community College in Tucson, Ariz. and brings a list of athletic and academic accolades with her.

Kaity Ingram • INF • Tucson, Ariz. (Pima CC / Catalina Foothills HS)
Pima CC (2009): Named National Fastpitch Coaches Association West all-Region second team while at Pima CC for the 2009 season...earned Arizona Community College Athletic Conference Batter of the Week on March 22...hit .438 with 77 hits, four doubles, six triples, 25 RBI, 51 runs and one home run...posted a .970 fielding percentage playing 60 games at third base...stole 16 bases out of 18 attempts.

Catalina Foothills HS (2005-08):
Two-sport, four-year letterwinner in soccer and softball at Catalina Foothills High School...named to the 4A All-Star team in Tucson in her junior year...earned second team all-Southern Arizona by the Arizona Daily Star...named defensive player of the year in both her junior and senior seasons in addition to garnering the Best Work Ethic award as a senior...2008 Outstanding Scholar Athlete Award for Catalina Foothills High School...AIA Scholar Athlete for both soccer and softball all four years of high school.

Lobo head coach Ty Singleton on Ingram:
"We expect Kaity to come in and be an impact player right away, especially being a junior college transfer from a great program like Pima Community College. She's someone who has excellent speed and is a very aggressive infielder. She has an excellent work ethic and character, which will fit in well with the other athletes in this program."

Pima Community College head coach Armando Quiroz on Ingram:
"Kaity's a great competitor. She'll fight you tooth and nail every step of the way, and she's just like having a coach on the field. She's a very intelligent player."
