University of New Mexico senior men's soccer keeper Mike Graczyk was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation co-Player of the Week today. It is the second time this season Graczyk has earned the weekly honor. He made six saves while posting shutouts against Air Force (2-0) and Denver (0-0) in the Lobos' MPSF title clinching weekend on the road.
Graczyk now has an MPSF leading 0.73 goals-against-average and leads the league with six shutouts on the season. He has led the MPSF in shutouts and g.a.a. each of the last three seasons and was a first team All-MPSF selection in 2006. This is Graczyk's fourth career player of the week honor. He also holds the Lobo school record for shutouts with 30 in his career.
The Lobos are set to travel to UCLA for the first round of the 2007 NCAA Tournament. New Mexico will take on the Bruins on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 8:00 p.m. (M.S.T.) in Los Angeles, Calif. GameTracker and a live audio broadcast will be available on GoLobos.com.
