Lobos Struggle in Opening Round at Southern Highlands Collegiate

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The University of New Mexico men's golf team struggled in the opening round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship. The Lobos are currently 15th after shooting a 15-over par 303 on the par-72, 7,510 yard Southern Highlands Golf Course.

Individually for UNM: Spencer Levin is tied for 19th at 1-over par (73), Charlie Beljan and Jay Choi are tied for 48th at 4-over par (76), Miguel Griego is tied for 61st at 6-over par (78) and Mark Anderson is tied ofr 67th at 7-over par (79).

The team lead belongs to Arizona State who is at even par with a 288. The individual lead belongs to Mark Anderson of South Carolina and Daniel Im of UCLA at 6-under par (66).
