New Mexico Basketball Postgame Notes

• New Mexico improves to 18-3 overall (5-1 MWC, 1st place) following a 63-59 victory at Wyoming (15-5, 2-5 MW)
Steve Alford is 10-2 in his career vs. Wyoming, 5-0 in The Pit, 5-1 in Laramie and 0-1 in Las Vegas
• UNM's two Australians - junior Cameron Bairstow and sophomore Hugh Greenwood - combined for 30 points (10-14 FGs, 9-12 FTs) in 67 minutes...Greenwood hit a jumper to break a 59-59 tie then made a pair of FTs in the final seconds to seal the win
• The Lobos are 4-0 this year in MW games decided by 5 points or less
• After being outrebounded by an average of 11.3 a game the past 3 games, the Lobos had a 35-23 board advantage tonight
• The Lobos are 8-2 away from The Pit this season (5-2 road, 3-0 neutral)...since the start of the 2011-12 season, New Mexico is 22-7 in its last 29 games away from Albuquerque, including a 12-3 record in the past 15
• New Mexico is 43-28 in road games under sixth-year head coach Steve Alford...before Alford came to UNM, it took the Lobos 13 seasons and 136 games (43-93 between 1995-2007) to get 43 road wins
• Under Steve Alford, UNM is 66-2 when allowing less than 60 points, the only losses 59-56 to Louisville in the 3rd round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament and at San Diego State (55-34) on Jan. 26, 2013

• 2nd career double-double with 13 points (5-6 FGs, 2-2 3s) and a career-high tying 10 rebounds...also 4 assists, 2 steals, 1 block and 0 turnovers in a career-high tying 35 minutes
• New Mexico is 43-7 in his 50 career starts

Junior F Cameron Bairstow
• made his 5th start of the season and finished with a career-high 17 points (5-8 FGs, 7-10 FTs)
• equaled a career high with 10 FTs attempted, making 7
• played a career-high 32 minutes

Junior G Kendall Williams
• 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in 37 minutes
• passed Ike Williams (1,086) for 25th place all-time at UNM with 1,096 points
• 9th place all-time at UNM with 373 career assists...Marlon Parmer is 8th with 384

Sophomore C Alex Kirk
• 10 points (5-10 FGs) and 6 rebounds in 33 minutes
• just 15 points on 3-17 FGs the 3 games before Wyoming
