Head Coach Joe Franklin

On how the meet went on the whole...

"This meet for us has been a very good meet. We've had people run season bests, lifetime best, or right at lifetime bests. We've just had a very good weekend."

On Floyd Ross' performance...

"Floyd is a guy of last jumps. He made it to the finals on his last jumps-they take nine to finals and he did it on his last jump-and in the finals his first two jumps were average at best. And Floyd, on his last jump, had a two-foot PR."

Floyd Ross

On his performance was...

"The competition was pretty tough, but I managed to be humble and control my jumps. Everything came out the way I planned and I had a nice PR."

On the significance of his performance...

"Every track meet I go out I know it's going to be competitive. But I know I have to go out there and give my all. I can't worry about any other athletes besides myself. I believe in everything I do. I train for it, so I believe when I come to the track I can do it."

On the performance of the team...

"The team as a whole, I think we did really well. Everybody came out and gave their best, which matters the most. It seems like it came out the way we expected it."

On his thoughts of the meet...

"I'm just thankful I got to jump at nationals and I look forward to the Olympic Trials."

Sarah Waldron

On her performance was...

"I was really pleased to get All-American. I felt good. I felt very comfortable running. My breathing was really good, I feel like I'm fit. The aim was to get All-American. I placed a little low in my rank, which is a little frustrating, but I feel like I'm continuing to improve and overall I'm happy with my performance."

"I think there was. I think another reason why there was was because it's my last semester. Joe [head coach Joe Franklin] and Hav [assistant coach A'Havahla Haynes] have spent a lot of time and effort ensuring I have the best quality and support out here in the states. I want to do them proud. I had a really good indoor season and I just wanted to produce the best I could on a really important day. I've worked so hard this season. There was a bit of added pressure being one of the only girls out here, but I put a lot on myself. I have high expectations anyway. There's always pressure, it's just learning how to deal with that pressure."

On how her year went...

"I'm really, really happy with how this year went. Things really fell into place. I knew I had to really work hard to produce results. The depth out here is really, really strong. There are some really fantastic runners-and not just one or two; like I said, there's great depth. I feel like this season went a lot better than my last year's season on the indoor and outdoor track. I've learned a lot about how to train smart and recover well and listen to my body more. I think that's one of the key reasons why I've improved."

Assistant Coach Austin Brobst

On Floyd Ross' performance...

"Floyd's typical clutch performance, coming through on the last jump. He had a good week of practice and hit a PR of over 50 centimeters."
