Men's Distance Medley Punches NCAA Ticket at Alex Wilson Invitational

NOTRE DAME, Ind.--- The University of New Mexico's men's distance medley team earned a spot at the NCAA Indoor Championships at the Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational over the weekend. Four Lobos, Gabe Aragon, David Bishop, Sam Evans and Richard York clocked an automatic qualifying time of 9:31.95. It is the eighth fastest time in Division I this season.

At the last chance meet, Warrick Campbell finished first in the triple jump with a mark of 15.12 meters, but was unable to capture the NCAA qualifying distance of 16.15 meters.

Precious Selmon competed for the Lobos in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing with a finals time of 8.48 to place sixth.

The Lobos will travel to the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships in College Station, Texas March 11-12.
