ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.--- The University of New Mexico introduces the first segment to the series The Lobo Great Eight Q & A. The series will feature interviews of different Lobo athletes here at UNM. The Lobo Great Eight will consist of questions that will help each fan get to know a new, favorite or unknown Lobos around campus. This week's student athlete is freshman men's basketball player Alex Kirk. This Los Alamos native is ready to show the Lobos what he is bringing down to Albuquerque. The New Mexico Gatorade and District 2AAAA player of the year was also the No. 97 overall prospect. With an eye-catching wingspan of 7-foot-2, Kirk is going to surprise any and every fan out there.

1.What is your favorite part of UNM?

I like meeting new people and having the chance to maximize my basketball experience.

3.What is your biggest pet peeve?

I would have to say when people ask me if I play basketball or how tall I am. (6'-11")

4. If you could have any superpower what would it be?

Invisibility would be nice.

5. What is your dream car?

A Dodge Challenger.

6. What song are you currently listening to on your iPod?

"Do the John Wall"- Troop 41

7. What advice would you give to any high school athlete wishing to play at the college level?

I would tell them that it is important to really achieve and fulfill every single opportunity they have with their sport. Just do as much as you can to better your game.
