New Mexico Men's Basketball Postgame Notes
UNM at New Mexico State, Nov. 17, 2009

• Most points in the 1st half (52) for a Steve Alford-coached Lobo team

• Fourth consecutive win over New Mexico State, 9 of last 12; last time won four in a row in the series was during a seven-game run from 1995-99

• UNM now 59-40 over NMSU in Las Cruces and 28-14 in the Pan American Center

• 11 turnovers in the game, but only three in the second half


Senior Roman Martinez
• tied a career-high with 24 points, also against NMSU on Dec. 19, 2007; has scored 79 points in last four games vs. NMSU

• played final game in Las Cruces against his grandfather's former team, NMSU great Kiko Martinez

Sophomore Phillip McDonald
• set career-high for points with 27 and career-high 5 three-pointers

Sophomore Will Brown
• set career marks with 7 rebounds and 28 minutes played

Junior Darington Hobson
• set a season-high with 17 points, one more than his 16 points vs. UC Riverside
