UNM Head Coach Don Flanagan:
"We shot well, we shot very well from the three, we shot extremely well from the free throw line. Even though we gave 22 offensive rebounds, that is normally what would really hurt us, I thought we played a good game. We got back in transition, and didn't give them too many easy opportunities, we just needed to block out a little better. That is my only criticism. We moved the ball well, got the open look. We wanted to shoot the ball in transition because when you get in a half court setting they get hands in passing lanes and are pretty quick in ever position. So we wanted the first open look, we let it fly and obviously we got good looks on that first open look. We'll continue to do that, we've done that for the last two games. We're looking to push and shoot. If the defense doesn't set up then right away we want to go to the first open, good shot."
TCU Head Coach Jeff Mittie:
"I still felt like going in the half we were okay shape. I felt like the first 5 minutes were critical. We got opportunities but things didn't go and snowballed from there. They (UNM) shot the ball well all day. They really played well today and did not play very well today. We were in such foul trouble that we didn't press as much for one. I thought the turnovers we got this time weren't as productive. They were the aggressors in the second half, they deserved the baskets they were making."
