Ross Millington Makes History in Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. --- University of New Mexico sophomore Ross Millington became just the second athlete in New Mexico history to run under four minutes in the mile, clocking a time of 3:59.86 at the Indiana University Relays today.

Millington, the Stockport, England native, recorded his fastest time as a Lobo in the event finishing second in the Invitational heat. Millington's time tonight was the second fastest in Division I this winter. Indiana's Andrew Bayer, who finished first, recorded the top time of 3:57.75.

Former Lobo Lee Emanuel became the first athlete in New Mexico history to run under four minutes in the mile when he clocked a 3:57.91 on Feb. 7, 2009 at Notre Dame.
