UNM Picked To Finish Fifth In Mountain West Conference

Colorado Springs, Colo. - The University of New Mexico women's swimming and diving team was picked to finish fifth in the Mountain West Conference this year in a vote decided by the leagues coaches.

Colorado State was selected to finish first place with 46 total points and four first place votes. BYU was picked for second place after receiving three first place votes and 44 points. Utah was given the remaining first place vote and claimed the third spot with 36 points, followed by UNLV (33) in fourth and UNM (25) in fifth. Wyoming was chosen for sixth place with 19 points, while San Diego State (12) and Air Force (9) completed the poll finishing seventh and eighth.

Last season, the Lobos finished fifth in the Mountain West Conference, improving their sixth place finish from the previous year.
