SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The University of New Mexico men's soccer team comes out even against Sacramento State, Friday evening at the Hornet Soccer Field. This is the Lobos second straight 0-0, double overtime tie and their fifth straight shutout this season. New Mexico has two games remaining on the road before tournament action. The Lobos will travel to San Jose State on Oct. 31 at 1 p.m. MT and will head to Las Vegas, Nev. on Nov. 6 to take on UNLV to end the regular season at 2 p.m. MT.

Sophomore Justin Holmes (5-3-4) recorded his sixth shutout of the season for the Lobos in the goal. With seven saves, Holmes tied his career high of most saves in a game against the Hornets. His previous career high came on Nov. 1 2009 where he grabbed seven saves to earn the 1-0 victory against San Jose State.

Offensively, the Lobos outshot the Hornets 25-13, but Sacramento State had seven shots on goal to New Mexico's six. Forward Devon Sandoval led the Lobos with two shots on goal.

New Mexico is now 7-4-4 this season and 4-2-2 in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation action.

Sacramento State is now 6-4-6 on the season and 1-2-5 in the MPSF. Cesar Castillo (5-3-2) received the tie for the Hornets in goal with six saves.
