UNLV 65, New Mexico 63

- The Lobos fall to 20-8 overall and 10-5 in the Mountain West Conference...New Mexico is tied with TCU and Wyoming for 3rd place in the MWC entering Saturday's regular-season finale against league champion BYU...UNM is 4-4 in its last eight games after starting 16-4

- UNLV improves to 17-9 in all games and 9-6 in the MWC...the Rebels are in sixth place

- The Lobos lose to the Rebels in Las Vegas for the seventh time in the past eight games...UNLV has a 15-2 lead over UNM in games played in Las Vegas

- Six of the past seven contests between New Mexico and UNLV have been decided by 5 points or less

- UNM trailed 49-38 in the 2nd half, but finally caught the Rebels at 63-all with less than a minute left on a 3-pointer by Judy Vogt...however, UNLV won it on an offensive rebound and putback by Sherry McCracklin with 22 seconds left

- New Mexico trailed 35-25 at halftime, the largest deficit at intermission since being down 44-22 to Oklahoma on Dec. 30

- The Lobos are now 2-7 when trailing at halftime this year, 0-4 in MWC games

- UNLV shot 52.7% (29-55) from the floor, only the third UNM foe this season to surpass 50%...Oklahoma made 53.7% (29-54) on Nov. 16 and Arizona State hit 50.9% (27-53) on Dec. 6...the Lobos are 0-3 in those games

- The Lobos shot just 50% (5-10) from the FT line...they came into the game shooting 74.6% from the stripe in all games, including a steamy 78.2% in the MWC

- After making just 3 of 11 3s in the 1st half, the Lobos connected on 7 of 12 after halftime to finish 10 of 23, or 43%...the past five games, UNM has shot an impressive 48% (47-98) from beyond the arc

- Junior Julie Briody provided a spark off the bench yet again, finishing with 13 points on 5-6 FGs, including 3-4 from 3-point...Briody has averaged 12.8 ppg the past 6 games...she is 9-16 from 3-point the past 5 games

- Sophomore Dionne Marsh failed to start for only the second time this year due to a sprained left ankle suffered in the first five minutes last Saturday at San Diego State...however, Marsh came off the bench to score 13 points and grab 3 rebounds in 30 minutes
