UNM Head Coach Don Flanagan:
"It was a difficult game to play in. I didn't think we were exceptional as far as basic fake one way pass the other way. They put a lot of pressure on you, they double everything, they chase you. They are physical on the dibbler and they have a couple kids that can shoot on the outside. We really did a good job on the inside. I think that was probably the key to the game was that on the second half they didn't get much. Duffy had four points in 26 minutes and Paris Johnson had four points. I thought that was Angela (Hartill), Dionne (Marsh) a little bit, and Jessica (Kielpinski). All three did a very good job on the interior and that was extremely important."
SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns
"First off I'd like to give New Mexico credit with this whole thing. I have had the honor, the fortune to sit on the board Coleman board for the race for the cure, and have been able to be involved in a lot of things. The first class commitment here has been unparallel. We are hosting a Think Pink, we have been to Think Pink's. Mandi Stovall was tremendous working with our director of operations and everything they did to ensure that our team represented and did the right thing, and of course the fans and all the people that were wearing pink. Its people like the people here, and commitments like this that make it happen, its wonderful to see what has been happening around the country. It makes you know if people put their minds to it we can do anything."
"I think we have a young team, but that's no excuse. The last two games, TCU and tonight's game, we had some success in the first half. I think the first five minutes of the second half New Mexico showed their age, their experience, their tournament toughness. The physicality changed, the intensity level on the court changed and I had to call a quick timeout because we didn't match it at all. We pretty much crumbled under it, but we regrouped some, I'll give us credit for that. But I think New Mexico deserves to win the game, they went out and got the game. I hope we will continue to learn from experiences like this, but New Mexico was the tougher team tonight no question."
