SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of New Mexico Lobo baseball team fell to the San Diego Aztecs, 11-0 at Tony Gywnn Stadium tonight. New Mexico suffered its first shutout since April 17, 2009 in a 1-0 loss at home to San Diego State. The Lobos fall to 28-15 on the season and 10-5 in Mountain West Conference play. The Aztecs improve to 22-21 and 7-6.

Mountain West Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week, Addison Reed threw eight scoreless innings, scattering four hits to hand the Lobos their first shutout on over a year.

New Mexico got four hits off one of the best pitchers in the nation. Junior Ryan Honeycutt, senior Cameron Smith, freshman John Michael Twichell and senior Daniel Gonzalez all picked up singles for the Lobos.

The Lobos will be featured on national television on the Mountain Sports Network Saturday at 7 p.m. MT. The Mtn. can be seen on Comcast Channel 276 and DirecTV channel 616.
