Notre Dame, Ind.- The UNM swimming and diving team travel to the University of Notre Dame to compete in the Notre Dame Invitational on Dec. 4-6 at the Rolfs Aquatic Center.
A total of 16 schools will be sending participants. UNM is set to compete against Notre Dame, Bowling Green, Denison, Denver, Hillsdale, Indianapolis, Louisville, North Dakota, Nothern Michigan, Saint Louis, Shippensburg, Southern Illinois, West Virginia and Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The all-day event is a championship format, which will feature preliminaries and finals each day, beginning at 10:00 a.m (EST).
Sophomore Robyn Miller will look to lead the Lobos this weekend after having a solid outing in the dual meet against NAU Nov. 22. The talented swimmer broke NAU's pool record in the 500-yard freestyle (5:04.67) and the 400-yard IM (4:33.17). Miller currently holds UNM's school record in the 400 IM (4:28.04).
The diving team looks stronger than ever with nine first place finishes in the last five meets. Junior Becca Barras leads the team with six of the nine first-place finishes while senior Tracey Berghian follows with three firsts.
