UNM Head Coach Don Flanagan
"It was too difficult to overcome. I thought we had a chance there, but we didn't really run anything productive at the end. I thought we did a nice job coming back and getting the game close, unfortunately we let the game get away from us in the first half. Even when we got it down in the second half, we were trying to get it down in single digits in the second half, then they made a run right back and got it to fifteen again. And so us against the zone, our zone offense was quite disappointing. We had people reluctant to shoot and to pass, and obviously your offense breaks down at that point."
TCU Head Coach Jeff Mittie
"Give New Mexico credit they didn't give up and they were fighting hard. They weren't shooting the ball well, but they were getting some second and third opportunities. That hurt us. (Amy) Beggin hit two or three threes off of those type of kick outs and offensive rebounds. We kept them in it that way. With the way we've played on the road, we have been so inconsistent; you just know that you are not as confident that you need to be down the stretch. So you survive one of these and hopefully this will be a turning point."
