Head Coach Don Flannagan:
Regarding the extra pass on offense:
"I hope it was conscious but you never know. We have been running a motion type of offense where we are passing more and screening more. I still didn't see enough screens. I think we have the capability to shoot the ball well from a lot of positions but we still need to set more screens to free people up. I thought Abbie (Letz) played really, really well. She was active, she defended inside and outside, she got offensive rebounds and she battled. She was definitely our best player today. Katie (Montgomery) did a nice job. We just turned the ball over too many times. It seemed at times that the turnovers were unforced. Other than that we shot pretty well, defended better, we're really working on defending better and putting pressure on the ball. We have to get over screens a little bit better and help out a little bit better. I got to play everybody and it was a good win. We didn't have to play our starters, so we got some rest for some people."
Air Force Head Coach Ardie McInelly
"They really came out and played well tonight. Don (Flanagan) and his coaching staff have done an excellent job and I think they're right where they want to be going into the tournament. It was a tough loss against Wyoming and they took it out on us tonight. I thought New Mexico played extremely hard. They got themselves to the free throw line 33 times, so give the credit to them. As far as we're concerned we needed to do a better job in not only in our half court defense but in our transition defense. I thought Letricia Castillo did a really nice job for us. We got in foul trouble early in the first half so we had to do a little shuffling. I just give all the credit to them.
