The No. 5 University of New Mexico men's golf team will travel to the NCAA West Regional this weekend in Stanford, Calif. The three day tournament will take place on May 19-21, with 18-holes played each day, and the top-10 teams advancing to the NCAA Championships in Baltimore, Md. The Lobos are making their 21st postseason appearance and are looking for their fourth straight bid to the NCAA Championships. Joining head coach Glen Millican at the NCAA West Regional will be seniors Madalitso Muthiya and Miguel Griego, juniors Jay Choi and Spencer Levin and sophomore Charlie Beljan.
THE COURSE: The NCAA West Regional will be played at the par-71, 6,742 yard Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif.

THE FIELD: The field for the NCAA West Regional is made up of 27 teams with 11 of them ranked in the top-30 according to the Golfweek Index. The field consists of UNLV (4), New Mexico (5), Auburn (6), BYU (12), Arizona State (14), Southern Cal (17), UCLA (18), South Carolina (20), Arizona (23), Pepperdine (25), Washington (27), LSU, San Diego State, UC-Riverside, St. Mary's, Calif., Stanford, Texas-Arlington, Colorado State, Cal Poly, Fresno State, Oregon, Denver, South Alabama, Illinois State, Samford, Princeton and Central Connecticut State. UNLV is the top seed in the region followed by UNM, Auburn, Arizona State and UCLA. The Lobos have a record of 36-9 against this years field and have played in a tournament against 17 of the 27 teams.
