Last Dual Match for New Mexico:
The Lobos took the championship when they played in the HEB Invitational in Corpus Christi, Texas. The team is also ranked #46 in the nation after this weekend. The team beat Western Michigan 4-0 in the quarterfinals, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 4-1 in the semifinals, and then Louisiana-Lafayette 4-1 in the finals to take the championship. The Lobos are currently 10-4 overall. Conor Berg currently leads in singles with a dual match record of 12-1. He has won 10 straight singles matches. Conor Berg/Ben Dunbar have a dual match doubles record of 8-3 while James Hignett/Carl Ho have a dual match record of 8-4 in doubles.
Pacific, Air Force, #40 BYU:
Pacific is currently 4-5 overall winning their last match against Nevada with a score of 4-3. Ivan Castro who plays at number one singles is currently 4-5. The duo of Ivan Castro/Alex Hamilton play at number one doubles and are currently 6-3 in dual match play. Air Force is currently 5-6 overall with one more match to be played before coming to Albuquerque. Lance Wilhelm is 7-4 at number one doubles with partner Grant Taylor and is 8-3 at number one singles. BYU is 8-5 overall and is ranked #40 nationally. Georgy Batrakov is 7-5 at number one singles. He is also 8-4 at number one singles with doubles partner Patrick Kawka.
