Junior Strong Guard Claude Terrell
Question: You have to get some points on the board from this offense, don't you?
Claude Terrell: "Yes we do. For our defense to only give up 10 points and us not get the victory is very disappointing. Hopefully we can turn things around and put up a lot of points."
Q: How do you do that?
CT: "Come out and start strong. For the past two games we've been in trouble in the first half but hopefully we can come out and play a full 60 minutes together, and then there is no telling what we can do."
Q: What's missing? You are saying mistakes and assignments but is it really that simple?
CT: "Yeah. I think we just have to be ready to play start to finish. I think it just takes a while to get going but hopefully we can come out on the opening kickoff and get things started."
Q: What about Washington State? Seven points are not going to get it done there.
CT: "Definitely not. They put up 47 last week in Colorado so they are going to be able to put up some points, but our defense is going to do a good job."
Q: Casey has been inconsistent sort of like everybody else. Are you confident that he is going to get things going and make those big plays?
CT: "Oh yeah. He has been there for us for the past. I'm pretty sure he feels bad about the mistakes he has made, like everyone else, and he's going to come out and do whatever it takes to get those fixed so we can be successful the rest of the season."
Q: What do you know about the Cougar defense?
CT: "I watched them a little bit Sunday and Monday. They have some speed up front and they like to cross the line. They spread guys out all over the field so it's going to be a good challenge for us."
Q: You have to be pumped a little bit about getting (Jason) Lenzmeier back (later this season), right?
CT: "Oh yeah. At first when I heard him on the field (after the injury), I just thought it was over. After we got the news, it was a breath of fresh air. Hopefully we can maintain our front until he gets better."
