COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Junior Amy Beggin scored 16 points to lead the University of New Mexico Lobos over the Air Force Falcons this afternoon at Clune Arena. New Mexico picked up its 24 consecutive win over Air Force. The Lobos shot 45 percent and had three players in double figures in the victory over the Falcons. New Mexico improves to 13-2 on the season and is 2-0 in Mountain West Conference play. Air Force falls to 4-11 on the season and 0-2 in MWC play.

The Lobos were led offensively by Beggin who scored in double figures with 16 points for the seventh straight game and for the 14th time in 15 games. Beggin narrowly missed a double-double as she pulled down nine rebounds. Senior Angela Hartill pitched in 11 points and six rebounds and true-freshman Sara Halasz scored 10 points and grabbed three rebounds.

The Lobos will return to action on Jan. 17 when they travel to Provo, Utah to take on the BYU Cougars. Tip off is set for 3 p.m. MT. For more information please visit www.GoLobos.com.
